愛心會以表彰前香港航海學校校長區劍雄一生對教育工作無私奉献、默默耕耘於1999年成立的。區校長對當年赤航貧苦兒童的關懷、愛護，除學業外更注重學生的品德，對家庭、社會的責任，教導影響一生。
教育為培養人材，人材為強國之本。區校長和愛心會的成員熱愛祖國、關心祖國教育，希望幫助我國偏遠山區的學校改善教學條件，提高教學水平，為國家培育人材，期盼國家強大，興旺發達。
十年樹木、百年樹人，愛心會為偏遠山區的學校燃點希望之光，撒播愛心種子，讓愛心得以在國內代代延續，薪火相傳！
