If you believe in our mission, please consider donating. All donations will solely go to support the Shared Data work. Shared Data is an initiative by Foundation for Shared Impact, a Section 88 tax-exempt charity. As such, you will also be issued a donation receipt for tax-exempt purposes.
If you instead want to make a direct wire transfer, please note the following details:
NB! Please specify in your transaction that the donation is for Shared Data.
In order to scale, do more, and do better we need increased manpower, enhanced software and we need funding to help cover our costs of purchasing financial statements and other legal documents.
We are largely operated by volunteers and discretionary time from the directors of Foundation for Shared Impact. In order to scale our operations, we need more manpower, including project manager, research assistants, etc.
We believe in, and often advocate for, affordable and scalable software solutions - and to date we have largely used free software, including Airtable, Google DataStudio and more. However, due to the sheer scale of our data and operations, we are in the need of upgrading solutions and systems.
We have currently covered all costs oruselves of acquiring financial statements of each charity from the HK Government’s ICRIS system (at roughly 21 HKD per file). To help us acquire and share more documents with the public, we need funding support.
PS! While we believe that charities themselves will know best how to allocate funding to best scale impact and operations, if there is a specific Shared Data purpose you would like to donate towards, please specify in your donation. That way we can keep you updated (and ourselves accountable) to your donation.
Thank you for your interest in donating to Shared Data. If you are in no position to donate yourself, consider sharing it with someone you think could help. If you want to help us fundraise, we have created a solution here which will acknowledge you for any contributions you help us gain.
Thank you, and please stay tuned as there will be a lot more work and a lot more data to be shared.
