The Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, with a history dating back to 1870, is the oldest and largest charitable organisation in Hong Kong. It provides extensive education and community services through 194 service centres spread across Hong Kong.

SVhk focuses on inventing, incubating and investing social innovation solutions, including affordable housing, running and plant-based movement, women empowerment etc. It also provides impact strategy for large business conglomerates and foundations, building impact collectives with multi-stakeholders. To date, we have supported 100+ impact ventures in Hong Kong, and continue to deploy partnerships to uplift neighbourhoods with a place-based lens.

We provide medical care to help people survive catastrophic situations, where communities and health structures may be overwhelmed. Our core work is providing emergency medical assistance in situations of armed conflict. Our actions are guided by medical ethics and the principles of neutrality and impartiality. We do not take sides but seek to bring assistance to those who need it most urgently. In situations of conflict, we do not accept funds from governments or other parties who are directly involved. MSF has a commitment to address the suffering people endure and the obstacles encountered in providing assistance. We are constantly seeking to improve the quality, relevance and extent of our assistance, and we are dedicated to the pursuit of innovation. When we witness serious acts of violence, neglected crises, or obstructions to its activities, MSF may speak out about this. MSF was founded in Paris, France in 1971. Today, MSF is a worldwide movement of 24 associations. MSF International, which binds these associations together, is based in Geneva, Switzerland. MSF is an independent, self-governed, non-profit organisation. It operates programmes in more than 60 countries worldwide. Its work is carried out by thousands of health professionals, logistical and administrative staff, the vast majority of whom come from the countries where the organisation is providing medical assistance.

Vision HPSHCC seeks to become one of the finest tertiary colleges in the region. The College provides students with an individualised learning experience, focusing on the realisation of their academic prowess and enhancing their awareness of the difficulties of the needy. Students will not only be equipped with knowledge and skills for further studies and joining the workforce, they will also aspire to serve vulnerable and underprivileged members of society. Missions The missions of HPSHCC are: 1. to provide quality post-secondary education for students through its programmes and services with continuous development thereof; 2. to help and prepare students for further study at universities and other higher education institutions, for work, for citizenship and for enriched lives as educated people through providing comprehensive and professional curricula so that students may think clearly and logically, act responsibly and confidently and communicate effectively; 3. to establish a centre of knowledge and skills where a serious learning atmosphere is instilled and a caring environment is provided for students together with a supportive workplace for staff members; and 4. to provide self-financing programmes leading to academic awards at post-secondary levels.

Under Ms Lucy Yen’s leadership, the Charity established “The University of Hong Kong Law Alumni Association Fund” in 2009 for the following purposes: (i) granting scholarships, prizes, loans, financial, material or other assistance to law students at the Faculty of Law of the University of Hong Kong on such terms as the Board of Governors may decide from time to time; and (ii) any other object or objects of the Charity

As a part of the community, HKLA cares about people in need in Hong Kong and would like to put in great efforts in offering opportunities and resources to the less fortunate. As a result, HKLA has formed the HKLAX foundation. HKLAX foundation’s mission is to serve the community via Physical Education. Deploying resources particularly for youth groups, underprivileged students, minority groups, athletics mental well being. HKLAX Foundation will promote comprehensive sportsmanship through sports activities to encourage participants to live a healthy, vibrant and optimistic lifestyle. Besides the above missions, HKLAX foundation will inherit the goals and plans of Hong Kong Lacrosse Association. We develop lacrosse across the general community of Hong Kong, offering regular development programs to all genders and ages. Sport has a miracle force to change people’s lives by enhancing their social and emotional development, as well as inspiring healthy behavior changes and increasing educational achievements and employability skills. We believe everyone including who is less fortunate has a right to develop their potential talent in sport. Promoting equal opportunities of learning sport, we would like to support people who are disadvantaged, under resourced and minorities to engage in sport and offer opportunities for them to have further personal development.
