Orbis is an international nonprofit that has been transforming lives through the prevention and treatment of avoidable blindness for over four decades. With our network of partners, we mentor, train and inspire entire local eye care teams – from health workers in rural clinics to eye surgeons in urban centers – so they can work together to save and restore vision, ensuring no one must face a life of avoidable blindness. Working in collaboration with local partners, including hospitals, universities, government agencies and ministries of health, Orbis provides hands-on ophthalmology training, strengthens healthcare infrastructure and advocates for the prioritization of eye health on public health agendas. 本會（前身為當代聖經出版社）於1987年11月成立，目標是把聖經翻譯成淺白易明的當代文體，使普羅大眾都能明白其中的真理。1992年，當代聖經出版社總會與國際聖經協會合併成為一獨立之新機構，本會亦更名為國際聖經協會，目標仍然是支援堂會，用聖經作傳福音和栽培信徒的事工。2003年本會再次進入一個全新階段，成為普世華人教會所屬的聖經機構：“漢語聖經協會”。 新名稱反映了一些新的實質，卻也沒有忽略原有根基和定位：專注服侍全球華人社羣和華人教會，支援堂會成長，建構聖經文化。為將我們的服侍延展至世界各地華人羣體，加拿大漢語聖經協會、美國漢語聖經協會及台灣的國際漢語聖經出版社相繼成立。為的是要完成上帝交託我們的使命：“聖經傳萬家，救恩臨天下”。 我們的異象 「聖經傳萬家，救恩臨天下」是漢語聖經協會（漢協）的異象。漢協是一個致力推動華人聖經事工的機構，並將聖經出版與宣教理念結合，透過向全球中文讀者提供不同媒介與類型的聖經讀本和研經材料，讓信徒與非信徒從聖經中認識神，生命得到改變。我們從四方面進發，達成這項目標：聖經翻譯、聖經培育、聖言中心和聖經外展事工。
