- 本校創於一九三四年，由前清秀才黃子律先生一手創辦，命名鐘聲學校，係創辦人入學之庠名，乃表示平旦鐘聲之意。最初創辦於元朗大橋村，租賃平房，採複式教學，領頭等津貼，日治時期宣告停辦，光復後籌建新校，於一九五七年告成，而為鐘聲徑舊址，初時只是單層之平房，後來因課室太少，不能推廣收容，再於一九六八年擴校，加建二樓，及後繼續擴建，增建有蓋操場、特別室及學校圍牆。一九九四年開始校舍改善工程計劃，在本校籃球場近南面圍牆加建一座五層高的建築物，每層除包括兩個五十六平方米的課室外，並於二樓設有通道貫通新舊校舍，新建築物地下是有蓋操場，二樓設有教師室，三樓是會客室及美勞室，四樓是中央圖書館而五樓則為學生活動中心，新校舍於一九九八年中落成，現已全面啟用，學生的學習環境得到進一步改善。一九九八年改建特別室為電腦室的工程已於二千年三月完成。二零零五年九月更獲配一所千禧校舍，樓高七層，設備完善，續辦全日制小學，發揚鐘聲校風「敦品勵學」的精神。 學校願景 凝聚地區力量，建立一所孩子喜愛、 各界人士認同和信賴的學校
