- 本會於一九五三年二月廿二日由九龍城浸信會在大埔廣福道五十六號開設的基址，以迎合當地的人口因中國政權易手後而驟增；得到西教士畢路得姑娘及梅國芳牧師的協助，並聘請彭學騰先生為主任傳道，展開各項福音事工，而當時聚會人數祇得三數十人。 本會是按照聖經的教導而設立，其中包括耶穌在世時留下大使命（太 28:18-20 ，可 16:15-18 ，路 24:46-49 ，約 20:21-25 ，徒 1:7-8 ）。使徒時代的教會留下美好的榜樣（徒 2:41-47 ）。保羅提醒我們教會生活的目標（弗 4:11-16 ）。我們當盡力向此目標發展。 目標宣言 大埔浸信會是以基督為首的地方教會。我們的使命是要透過發揮各人恩賜，帶領萬民歸主，塑造門徒生命，實踐彼此相愛，服侍大埔社群，建立合一敬拜；從而建立基督的身體，藉此榮耀上帝聖名。
