- 學基浸信會是在1971年4月由萬國宣道浸信會西差會彭偉光宣教士夫婦（REV. & MRS. PASWATERS）所創立。本會承接初期教會的使命，傳揚耶穌基督的拯救恩典，使人明白聖經真理，得着永生的盼望，裝備信徒全面及積極地履行神所賜的大誡命和大使命（馬太福音22:36-39、28:19-20）。同時，本會也透過參與地區社會服務，具體地幫助有需要的人群；所以在教會發展的過程中，曾先後開辦幼兒園、幼稚園、青年中心、自修室和老人中心、「學基愛鄰社」等社會服務，以基督的愛心來服務社群。
