About

Description
The Hong Kong Catholic Marriage Advisory Council is a voluntary organization. It was established in 1965 by Fr. Edward Collins, S.J. (the first appointed Chairman) at the request of the late Bishop Lawrence Bianchi (the first President) to provide Hong Kong with a specialized agency for the improvement of marriage and parenthood. It was formally incorporated in 1967. The Agency started with Natural Family Planning Services in a few Catholic Hospitals. In 1966, Family Life Education for couples and parents were introduced. Marriage Counselling Services did not begin till 1968 and soon after Pre-marriage Education. Marriage Mediation Counselling, the first of its kind in Hong Kong, started as a cooperation with the Legal Aid Department, Hong Kong Government in 1988. Mission Statement We are committed to promoting joyful and life-long marriages, happy families and responsible parenthood with professionalism. We serve all peoples irrespective of creed or race. Vision A community in which everybody comes to appreciate the values of marriage. Hence, husbands and wives strive to safeguard, strengthen and deepen their spousal relationship for the good of themselves, their family, their children and society at large.
"Yes I Can" Education Fund Limited is a charity dedicated to empowering underprivileged youth through transformative overseas experiences. The organisation provides scholarships for students to participate in a one-year high school exchange program in the United States. This opportunity is designed to broaden their horizons, inspire them to see a future full of possibilities, and help them break the cycle of intergenerational poverty. The fund operates on the belief that when young people can see a future, they will not give up on themselves.
