持戒為本；淨土為歸；觀心為要；善友為依。 約六十年前，葉慧超（人稱七姑）隨上筏下可大和尚出家後，法名隆慧字淨超。於大嶼山羌山鹿湖村七號把當時的“一葉洒”茅蓬重建成為兩層的淨室供徒眾修行。為師弟的梁能証為助上淨下超師太一臂之力建道場，亦隨她出家，法號上智下妙。上智 下妙師公在重建道場的過程中付出甚巨，後來收徒眾三人，其中上妙下慈師父因為較為知書識墨亦為慧蓮付出不少，平時在天后下院接眾。 直至2004年由於老師父們年紀太老無力做作山上的體力勞動，把慧蓮搬遷到天后至今。 慧蓮第四代曾孫上圓下音愧立

Buddhist Lodge of Laity was opened on 1 September 2005. The aim of the Centre is: 'Experience and understand life with both wisdom and faith.' Objectives: - To introduce Buddhist teachings and to promote concepts of practising Buddhist teachings to the community of Hong Kong by adopting a contemporary, knowledgeable, rational, open-minded, simple, non-theistic, non-idol and non-sectarian attitude. It strives to promote the integration of Buddhist teachings into contemporary life. The Centre regularly organises courses on meditation and Buddhism that are open to the public. People of all walks of life are welcome to attend such courses. In addition, the Centre will also invite Buddhist Masters of different schools or Buddhists scholars to give their incisive enlightenment talks on various topics of Buddhist teaching.

Each year school children, businesses and the local community come together to donate gift boxes filled with essential, fun, and active items, to give to a child that would not normally receive a gift over the festive period. We work in collaboration with local, and a small number of overseas charities, to support the children and families who receive the boxes. None of what we do would be possible without the support of our volunteers, schools and sponsors, who support us both financially and in kind. In 2023 we delivered over 41,232 boxes to children, donated through 120 schools, 41 corporates and hundreds of individual volunteers.

The Basis of the YMCA, commonly known as The Paris Basis was formulated at the First World Conference of YMCAs held in Paris in 1855. In 1973, at the 6 th World Council of YMCAs held in Kampala, Africa, the Kampala Principles , an interpretative statement of the Paris Basis, was adopted. Challenge 21 , an evolution of the Kampala Principles and that enunciates challenges in the Mission of the YMCA, was adopted by the 14 th World Council of YMCAs in 1998 in Frechen, Germany. In 1999, the 15 th General Assembly of the Asia Alliance of YMCAs held in Manila, Philippines, officially adopted the Asia YMCA Statement Mission formulated at the 1997 Mission Review held in Tozanso, Japan.

水項目 點滴是生命將分配您的捐款到最需要援助的地區，目前我們正在為柬埔寨及尼泊爾有需要的人建設水項目，當中包括：密封式水井及水泵、濾水設備、生化砂濾系統及自流供水系統等。 學校重建 當學習對120萬尼泊爾孩子而言不是理所當然，夢想更是遙不可及，但你的支持卻可以改寫他們的命運，點滴是生命為他們重建校舍，確保他們在安全穩固的校舍學習。 病童營養餐 自赤柬以來，柬埔寨很多鄉村地區仍然貧窮和落後。居在村落的孩童患病，就必需遠赴到城市醫院，才能得到適當的治療。為了讓孩童能更健康成長，我們與柬埔寨醫院合作，推行「柬埔寨病童營養餐計劃」，由提供病童的營養膳食到為家長開設營養知識班，全面確保兒童得到均衡營養，儘快痊癒，健康成長。

In Cambodia, 55% of adolescents will have dropped out of school by the time they are 17 (UNICEF, 2019). The poverty many children live in not only strips them of their childhood, but it also means that they miss out on an education and vital life skills that are taught through peer interaction and play. 本堂是香港「基督教中國佈道會」的會員堂會之一。「中國佈道會」是中國名佈道家計志文牧師於1947年於上海創立。 在1987年香港迦南堂約二十位信徒被差往沙田植堂，早期於李兆康長老家中聚會，於1988年4月轉往大圍田心村建立教會。有見區內雙職父母及其在學子女極需要高質素的課餘託管服務需要，會眾亦同心領受「服侍鄰舍，見證基督」的異象，故積極探討為區內學童提供服務的可能性。 蒙神恩典，本堂獲得房屋署批准以社區服務形式，租用新翠邨新明樓現址開辦學生發展中心，並獲得白普理基金慷慨贊助全數約一百三十萬元的開辦費。最後，中心於1991年1月正式啟用，命名為「基督教中國佈道會沙田迦南堂白普理學生發展中心」，迄今服務社區接近三十年。 1994年7月，教會自立為「基督教中國佈道會沙田迦南堂」。 本堂開辦的「白普理學生發展中心」屬於非政府資助的機構，根據《稅務條例》第88條已獲豁免繳稅的慈善團體。1997年更成為公益金會員機構，並於2000年成為香港社會服務聯會會員。 我們的使命 藉著神的話語和大能，在本港建立一間結合敬拜、教導、牧養、門訓、宣教五方面平衡發展及健康而強壯的教會。
