About the organisation
早在一九五零年代，香港浸信會的少年團夏令會有好幾年的大復興，神的靈感動好幾間浸信會的青年人起來組織成香港幾間「福音堂」，我們「平安福音堂」乃由吳主光弟兄聯同約十二名愛主的青年基督徒於一九六三年創立的。創立時、我們得到香港喜樂福音堂可敬的長者胡恩德先生，宣道會的李非吾牧師，並海外神學院的創辦人曾霖芳牧師等指導，因此、本教會的信仰與浸信會相同，教會路線卻屬於接近「弟兄會」背境之「獨立教會路線」，與香港喜樂福音堂同類。 本來在創立教會之時，神給我們的異象是向木屋區的貧苦大眾傳福音，我們教會也在香港九龍青山道尾之新圍村木屋區開始。過了十多年，因著神在一九七五年賜下大復興，我們的教會就從那一年開始大大增長，由一間堂增長至現在（一九九七年）已超過三十間分堂，會眾約五千之眾。
