About the organisation
Chinese Overseas Christian Mission (COCM) is an inter-denominational mission with the objective of sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with the Chinese Diaspora and local communities in the UK and Europe through multi-faceted ministries. It was founded by Rev. Stephen Wang in 1950. The vision then was “Where the Chinese are, there Christ must be.” Over the past 70 years, we have grown substantially. The scope of our work now covers the UK and countries on the European continent. In July 2008, Rev. Henry Lu succeeded Mary Wang as our General Director. “Reaching the Chinese to Reach Europe” became our extended vision. Our Vision Generations of mature Chinese believers working together throughout the UK and Europe to share the good news of Jesus Christ through Bible-believing churches which serve local communities, and win people of all nations to Christ.
