Ebenezer School and Home for the Visually Impaired Limited, The

Founded in 1897 by Hidesheimer Blindemission, Germany, Ebenezer School and Home for the Visually Impaired is a charitable agency of which all activities are founded in Christian faith. We provide comprehensive educational, rehabilitation, career and boarding services for children with visual impairment and those visually impaired with intellectual and / or other disabilities, as well as residential care and nursing facilities for visually impaired elderly. We also provide employment training to visually impaired students and youths and work to develop job opportunities for our graduates. We engage with other voluntary and government agencies at local, regional and international levels to maintain, improve and provide services to the visually impaired and deliver public education. Hong Kong Liver Transplant Patients' Association, The

Since Queen Mary Hospital successfully performed Hong Kong's first liver transplant in October 1991, by mid-1998, the number of successful transplants has increased dramatically. Patients who have received transplants and those who are waiting for transplants urgently need an organization of their own. To support each other, The Hong Kong Liver Transplant Patients' Association was born. The Hong Kong Liver Transplant Patients' Association is a non-profit organization composed of a group of people who have received and are waiting for liver transplants, relatives and friends who have donated part of their living livers, and their family members. It was registered as a society in Hong Kong in May 1998 and was subsequently accepted as a charitable organization. The Hong Kong Inland Revenue Department granted tax exemption status for donations made to charitable organizations.
