- With its roots in the Asian Film Awards, which celebrates excellence in Asian cinema and recognizes film talents for the long-term positive development of Asian film industry and culture, the Asian Film Awards Academy was established to extend and strengthen the function of the Awards as a major Asian film development entity. With the vision of continuously elevating the art and recognition of Asian films to new levels regionally and internationally, apart from presenting the Awards, the AFA Academy has also been actively launching a multitude of year-round initiatives including masterclasses, regional screenings, and professional development and mentorship programs, and strategies for building regional and international audiences. Mission : -To highlight, publicize and connect the achievements of Asian cinema to the world; -To raise awareness of the wide and deep influences of Asian cinema and its heritage; -To nurture the growth and sustainability of Asian cinema; -To introduce and build productive links among Asian and international film entities and talents; -To enhance the ties among Asian and international film professionals and audiences; and to nurture emerging Asian film talents and educate the future generations on Asian cinema.
- 2022 Foundation, as a non-profit organization, seeks to facilitate the development of a long-term vision of what Hong Kong can accomplish by deepening and widening its knowledge platform. Mission: Recognizing the needs for Hong Kong to re-position itself in the global arena and the importance of developing reliable data and sound knowledge in the decision-making process, the 2022 Foundation will endeavor: 1. to serve as a round table of bringing together experts and leaders from academe, business, government and other sectors from Hong Kong, Mainland China and abroad into active cooperation in the provision of objective and cogent data to decision makers of Hong Kong 2. to foster cooperation in research in order to secure a better understanding of Hong Kong so that decisions can be made based on sound knowledge and reliable data 3. to promote, stimulate and provide complementary funding for relevant studies that have significant interests 4. to gather and collate technical information and to disseminate such information to the public
