Description: The Bernard van Zuiden Music Fund aims to provide financial aid for young Chinese music talent from Hong Kong to pursue musical training abroad. Recipients are expected to return to Hong Kong upon finishing their studies and to contribute their talent to the Hong Kong music field. The fund was established in 1983 under a generous donation from Mr Bernard van Zuiden, a late Hong Kong resident and businessman who was very active in the Dutch community. The Trustees of the Fund are the Hong Kong Philharmonic Society Limited and HSBC Trustee (Hong Kong) Limited. Over the last 37 years, the Fund has supported many emerging local musicians. Most of them are now part of the Hong Kong music scene, and some are currently full-time HK Phil musicians.; "Yes I Can" Education Fund Limited is a charity dedicated to empowering underprivileged youth through transformative overseas experiences. The organisation provides scholarships for students to participate in a one-year high school exchange program in the United States. This opportunity is designed to broaden their horizons, inspire them to see a future full of possibilities, and help them break the cycle of intergenerational poverty. The fund operates on the belief that when young people can see a future, they will not give up on themselves.
