- 防癌天使服務協會是政府注冊非牟利團體 。由一班熱心社會服務的醫生 、護士 、化驗師組成 。協會成立於一九八七年 。朱建華顧問醫生現任本會主席。 預防勝於治療 ！協會宗旨是致力推動香港防癌工作 。重點是癌症的預防 。 現今癌症已成為危害生命的頭號殺手 。在香港 ，肺癌 、肝癌 、腸癌 、鼻咽癌 、乳癌和子宮頸癌都是發生率較高的癌症 。不少癌症可以預防或減低其發病率 。例如乙型肝炎是引致肝癌的最主要原因 ，預防乙型肝炎就能有效地預防肝癌 。健康的飲食習慣能減低腸癌 、乳癌的發生 。不作性濫交 ，定期婦女子宮頸細胞檢查, 亦可接種預防子宮頸癌疫苗, 是可以預防或減少子宮頸癌的發生 。 防癌天使服務協會通過深入社會各階層(包括政府部門 、工廠 、商業機構 、學校 、教會 、老人院 、社團等)作免費防癌講座 ，參予健康展覽 、社區活動 ，對巿民進行癌症的預防教育 。講解有關癌症成因 ，癌症與飲食 、生活習慣 、遺傳的因素關係 ，以及癌症的早期症狀 。提高巿民健康意識和對癌症警覺性 。自創會以來總共作8000多場講座 ，參加人數約有40多萬人次 。 協會提供常見癌症的預防性或早期的檢查 。癌症早期大多沒有明顯的症狀 ，而出現典型症狀時經已到較後期 。目前癌症的治療效果關健在於早期發現 ，早期治療 。本會還致力推行用簡便而有效方法在普通人群中作篩選檢查 。發現高危險或早期癌症病人及時轉介政府或私家專科醫生 。近兩年來 ，經本會篩選檢查發現的鼻咽癌 、腸癌 、乳癌 ，前列腺癌均已轉送政府醫院或私家專科醫生治療 。 協會認為預防工作要從青少年做起 。本港乙型肝炎帶菌者佔總人口的百分之十 ，其中四分之一人會轉變成肝硬化或肝癌 。因此 ，協會積極協助學校為學生注射預防乙型肝炎疫苗針 。多年來已為過百間學校共過萬人注射疫苗，也提供hpv疫苗注射以防子宮頸癌。
