About

Description: 鐘聲慈善社成立於 1915 年，由本港音樂及粵劇界前輩陳紹棠、錢廣仁、李善卿、何澤民等四位所倡辦。初名「鐘聲劇團」，同人公餘之暇，研習音樂劇藝，並粉墨登場，演唱於省港澳等地，旨在移風易俗及發揚中國傳統道德文化。1919 年正名為「鐘聲慈善社」，並推舉當時本港著名紳商曾富先生為首屆社長。除了致力於慈善救濟事業外，並以提倡體育、推行義務教育及發揚音樂戲劇藝術為宗旨。百年以來，在同人努力耕耘和各界指導匡扶支持之下，善業日益發展，現在已成為少數超過百年歷史的多元化非牟利慈善團體。; —
