Estabalished in 1985 by Prof. Emil Ng and Mrs. Peggy Lam, Hong Kong Sex Education Association has members of the committee from different sectors, such as health care, social work, psychology. The Association believes that sexuality includes all aspects of a person's being male or female, which evolves throughout life and is intergrated in the whole personality. The Associate has the goal of improving the quality of sex education in Hong Kong.

Dandelion Project

Dandelion Project is a registered charity in Hong Kong. It was founded in 2013 by a group of local students who shared a common concern about education in rural China. Through voluntary teaching trips, family visits, and other activities, we hope to provide an opportunity for Chinese children to gain education outside the normal system, and also to allow Hong Kong tertiary education students to experience the culture and traditions of rural China.

CCG is a voluntary organisation established in Hong Kong in 2000 and registered with Hong Kong Societies from 2008. The motto of the group is to inculcate performing spirits in children through various activities like Public Speaking, Music, Dance, Singing, Drama, Quiz, Sports etc., to build their self-confidence and self-improvement.

Access HK

Access HK was set up in 2001 by a group of Hong Kong students at leading U.K. and U.S. universities who felt strongly about equal opportunities and were dedicated to improving the education of children in Hong Kong. Vision: Access HK has organized a number of projects to help underprivileged children in Hong Kong. Every summer, Access HK’s volunteers, mostly students studying at overseas universities, return to Hong Kong to give a free summer school to children in need. Access HK also recruits young professionals to run a free weekend tuition program known as “Teach an Hour” and a careers program known as “A Day in the Life of…”, during which children are given the opportunity to shadow someone in a career in which he or she is interested. Access HK works with primary schools situated in some of the most economically deprived districts in Hong Kong, and strive to boost students’ learning interest and English language skills. To date, Access HK served over 1,000 children in need.

Chater Masonic Scholarship Fund Trust

The Chater Masonic Scholarship Fund Trust was established in 1929 after Sir Catchick Paul Chater (1846-1926) ’s death to honor his contributions to Freemasonry and charities in Hong Kong. Sir Paul Chater was born in Calcutta and later moved to Hong Kong. Arriving in 1864, he started a job at the Bank of Hindustan but resigned after two years to start a gold bullion exchange brokerage. In 1868, he formed another brokerage company, Chater & Mody. Later he established The Hongkong Land company, Hong Kong Electric, The Peak Tram, The Star Ferry and the Hong Kong Tramway and helped to create the world city it is today. He was knighted in 1902. Chater Garden, Chater House, Chater Road, and Catchick Street were named after him. Sir Paul Chater became a Freemason in 1873. Being a Freemason and himself being orphaned at an early age, he recognized the importance of education and practicing two of the three principles of Freemasonry, brotherly love and relief. During his life, he was always ready to help charities when approached.

BTP was founded in 2009 and affiliated to the "student institution incubation program" of the University of Hong Kong. Since its establishment, BTP has carried out six independent volunteer projects -- Go2Africa, Hello Neverland, SinCere, Home Kong, Into Miracle, Yonder Narnia and SAGA. BTP has made outstanding achievements in six long-term volunteer projects. For example, the Africa team was received by the vice president of Ghana; the Hainan and Sichuan project made the headlines of the local media; BTP was also selected to become a member of the "student institution incubation program" by the University of Hong Kong. Moreover, all projects are supported by the service 100 fund of HKU. Mission & Values 1. We hope to change the world with volunteer spirit through practical actions. 2. FOCUS aims to improve educational and life outcomes of children with AD/HD and SpLD by expanding understanding and raising awareness of what it means to have a mind that learns differently Our mission is is to improve the education of mainstream students who are challenged by Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) and Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (AD/HD) by providing accurate evidence-based information, practical strategies and support to parents and professionals in education and healthcare and by improving understanding of how learning differences impact youth both emotionally and academically.
