Christian Conference of Asia
Mutual/Membership BenefitReligion RelatedThe Christian Conference of Asia began as the East Asia Christian Conference (EACC), which was constituted by a decision of churches, national councils of churches and Christian councils, whose representatives met at Prapat, Indonesia, in 1957. It was inaugurated at an assembly in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 1959, under the theme Witnessing Together. In the light of changing circumstances, the 1973 assembly, meeting in Singapore, agreed to change the name to Christian Conference of Asia (CCA). The purpose statement of the CCA says that CCA exists as an organ and a forum of continuing cooperation among the churches and national Christian bodies in Asia, within the framework of the wider ecumenical movement, believing that the purpose of God for the church in Asia is life together in a common obedience of witness to the mission of God in the world. In order to be a member of the CCA, churches must “confess the Lord Jesus Christ as God and Saviour according to the scriptures and therefore seek to fulfill their common calling to the one God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit”. National councils or similar bodies joining the CCA must also approve this basis. The CCA strives for the unity of the church in Asia, joint action in mission, Asian contribution to Christian thought and worship, sharing and fellowship among the churches in Asia and beyond, effective Christian response to the challenges of the changing societies of Asia, relationships with people of other faiths in Asia, human dignity and care for the creation.

China Oxford Scholarship Fund
EducationInternational and Foreign AffairsThe objective of the China Oxford Scholarship Fund is to award scholarships to some of the most talented graduates each year of universities in the People's Republic of China and in Hong Kong to enable them to study at the University of Oxford in England in order for them to realise their full potential and to return home to contribute in leadership positions to the development of their homeland. Currently, the trustees limit the granting of scholarships to those students engaged in postgraduate studies at the University of Oxford. In support of this objective, the Fund is engaged in fund-raising, investment, educational and career advice and pastoral care and mentoring of the scholars both during and after their time at the University of Oxford. These activities are carried out in conjunction with those of the China Oxford Scholarship Fund, the Fund's sister charity, being a charity registered in the United Kingdom. The Awards Committee uses the following criteria in selecting the students to be granted scholarships: • Possessing a confirmed place at Oxford; • Being from an under-privileged family; • Speaking sufficiently good English to benefit from the experience of being at the University of Oxford; • Having an all-round personality, not solely academic; • Showing clear signs of leadership capability in any field; • Being committed to returning home and contributing to the future development of their homeland. The Awards Committee interviews a short list of applicants each year and recommends candidates for the trustees’ decision. The Fund is constituted under a Deed of Declaration of Trust dated 9 March 1992, as varied by Deeds of Variation dated 30 November 2006 and 7 March 2007. The overall day to day management of the Fund is carried out by the seven trustees who are also responsible for significant decisions of a long term operational nature. The trustees are assisted in the day to day management of the Fund by two committees: the Finance Committee and the Awards Committee. The members of these committees are either trustees or friends of the Fund who provide their time and expertise to the Fund on an honorary basis. The trustees are also assisted by one part time employee. The Fund is a non profit organisation registered with the Inland Revenue Department of the Government of the Special Administrative Region of Hong Kong (#91-03682). As such, it is exempt from taxation on its charitable activities in Hong Kong.

Business for Better Society Limited
Human ServicesMutual/Membership BenefitAt Business for Better Society (BBS), our goal is to drive lasting, meaningful change in communities worldwide through collaboration, innovation, and transparency. We believe that real transformation begins at the local level, which is why we partner with grassroots nonprofits that are deeply embedded in their communities and committed to creating long-term impact. We recognise that sustainable impact can take many forms—whether through financial support, mentorship, technical assistance, volunteering, training, internships, or the provision of essential resources. Our partnerships are not based on a nonprofit's sector or geographic location, but on shared values and a deep commitment to purposeful, enduring change. A central part of our approach is our unwavering commitment to our donors: 100% of all donations go directly to grants and programs, never to overhead or administrative costs. This means every dollar given directly supports transformative work on the ground. Our values—integrity, credibility, accountability, and transparency—form the foundation of our work. They guide us to pursue excellence through best practices, innovation, and continuous learning. We embrace a holistic view of giving and remain dedicated to measuring and reporting our impact using both quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods. While not all outcomes are easily measured, we are committed to assessing and communicating the true value of our work. Our reach is global, and our impact is real: In Uganda, we work with a primary school, a mobile computer lab, libraries, and clean water, and women entrepreneurs. In Afghanistan, we’ve run adult literacy programs, opened community libraries, and launched a women’s life skills training centre. We continue to fundraise for environmentally friendly bread ovens that reduce wood use and smoke inhalation. In Thailand, our corporate donor designed and installed an irrigation system for a farm that supports a school for children with special needs. In Kenya, we operate a business incubator for women, supporting the creation of 140+ small businesses that have brought economic freedom and empowerment. In Zimbabwe, we support the electric tricycle revolution, helping rural women access transport and transform their communities. In Gansu, China, girls from the poorest province receive scholarships to complete high school and continue to university. In Canada, donor support has funded hundreds of hours of mental health counselling through local charities. In Madagascar, we helped establish school vegetable gardens that provide nutritious meals and agricultural skills training for rural students. In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, we partner with a local nonprofit to support the reintegration of former child soldiers into their communities. And that’s just a snapshot. From Africa to Asia, North America to remote parts of the Amazon, we are proud to stand alongside local leaders and communities who are working tirelessly to build a better future. Together, we are building a better society—for all.
