The mission of AFOS is to excel in education and research in all aspects of osteoporosis. They support cooperative research in osteoporosis in Asia and beyond. They promote, foster, develop, and assist in the medical profession in the study of knowledge and information concerning the causes, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of osteoporosis.
