About the organisation
Audio Description Association (Hong Kong) [aka. AuDeAHK], established in 2015, is a registered NGO exempt from tax under section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance in Hong Kong (IRD Ref. 91/14230). We are devoted to promoting audio description (AD) and training audio describers to assist visually impaired people to get access to information, to raise public awareness of AD and to facilitate social inclusion. AuDeAHK offers a wide array of AD services, covering films, TV programmes, performances, exhibitions, visits and outdoor activities, etc and provides professional consultation services. In addition, AuDeAHK publishes AD guidelines; develops teaching materials; and provides AD training workshops, courses and public education sessions, passing the torch.
Mission
Audio Description Association (Hong Kong) [aka. AuDeAHK] is dedicated to raising the standard and profile of audio description (AD) in Hong Kong, and improving the lives of visually impaired people through the provision of quality AD services and through increasing their social participation in arts, cultural, sports and outdoor activities.
