About the organisation
Since its establishment in 1953, Caritas - Hong Kong has evolved from an emergency relief welfare agency to a multi-service non-governmental organization catering for the needs of people from “womb to tomb” by providing social work, education and medical services through over 270 service units from about 150 locations. With the mission of “Love in the Service of Hope”, Caritas aims at overcoming divisions among human beings and building a caring society where all people, regardless of age or disability, are valued. Facing up to the social changes and challenges of time, Caritas will continue to improve its services to meet the needs of the public and work hand-in-hand with stakeholders to enable people to live a rich and dignified life. Mission
To be at the service of individuals, families, groups and communities as they strive in the social, economic, physical, psychological, intellectual, moral and spiritual areas of life to pass from less human to more human conditions, to be the principal agents of their own lives and destinies, to build in their environment communities grounded on truth, guided by justice, motivated by love, realised in freedom, flowering in peace.
