About the organisation
The Children’s Heart Foundation (CHF), a registered charity, was founded by a group of concerned parents, medical staffs and volunteers in 1994. Working closely with the Department of Paediatric Cardiology of Queen Mary Hospital, we are the only NGO in Hong Kong which is devoted to supporting children with congenital heart disease and their families. The Foundation promotes mutual helps among parents and patients to overcome the challenges encountered when facing and caring for these special children. We offer tangible support for children in receiving medical treatment, acquisition of essential medical equipment, sponsoring research on diagnosis and treatment as well as providing overnight accommodation for parents of hospitalized children, etc. At the same time, we render psychological support by organizing developmental training for these special children providing counselling for parents in need.
