About the organisation
鍾錫熙長洲安老院，成立於一九六九年。當時長洲鄉事委員會有感於安老工作，在離島前未之見，遂倡議發起設立安老院於長洲，並組織籌委會專責推動。首先得到鍾長有先生秉承其令先翁遺志，慨捐興建經費八萬餘元，本院籌委為紀念他的先翁，於是定名為鍾錫熙長洲安老院。並蒙華人廟宇委員會劃撥長洲北社天后廟側的地段為院址，復蒙南約理民府勷助，興建工程便迅速展開。隨又蒙社會福利署協助，撥付彩票基金三萬二千五百餘元以供設備之資，工程餘下不足之數，則由各界熱心人仕及籌委會主席團暨各委員捐集完成。迨一九八四年，甲子年第十五屆董事總理會﹐有感於時代之進步和需要，使能為長者竭誠服務，於是改組為有限公司並向政府申請註冊，正式成為非牟利服務團體。 我們的願景 我們本著「老者安之」的信念，致力促使安老服務力臻完善 積極回應社會的需要和轉變，成為卓越的安老服務機構。 我們的使命 我們設立各類型院舍及中心，提供不牟利服務。 實行和推廣各項社會福利及慈善工作，並以適切及優質的服務， 使長者得到適常的身心照顧及得到尊車。
