About the organisation
沙田堂是中華基督教會灣仔堂在一九八二年所開設的分堂，最初在沙田中心租用了一間四百呎的單位來開始聚會，後來在沙田博康邨開辦一所幼稚園，一方面藉教學服務社區，另一方面彰顯神的愛和傳揚福音。 一九九四年，在沙田培英中學植堂，成立中華基督教會基禾堂。 同年，沙田堂轉為小組化的牧養模式，將全教會分作六個牧區，設立組長、區長和區牧，以求深化弟兄姊妹間的溝通和牧養，致力在我們的生活中實踐福音真理。 二零零四年，在馬灣植堂，成立中華基督教會馬灣基慧堂。 沙田堂宣言 建立一所穩健的小組教會；藉著禱告、敬拜讚美，恢復上帝在教會的地位及榮耀，讓每位信徒從屬他的小組，在小組中彼此牧養，接受裝備，在愛中建立自己，靠著聖靈的大能及恩賜，承擔主的大使命，服務社區，向不同群體為主作見証。
