About the organisation
於一九八七年成立，初期由一群積極推動香港文化教育工作的熱心人士創辦，同年獲香港政府批准為註冊慈善團體。隨著日子積漸，加入本協會的會員除了專家教授、校長和文教人士，更有不少前線教師及社會賢達。面向的範圍也早已跨越區界，本會各委員無私地盡心盡力為香港社會提供文化教育服務，為推動香港文化教育而努力。自創會以來，本會利用不同形式，舉辦多元化活動，推動香港的文化、藝術及教育工作。舉辦的活動包括足跡遍及神州的考察及交流，不同形式的培訓課程及研討會及協辦多項大型學界活動。自一九八九年以來，每年主辦「全港學界律詩創作比賽」、「全港學界對聯創作比賽」、「全港中小學普通話演講比賽」，又舉辦「粵語正音大賽」和協辦多項大型學界活動等等。 宗旨 成立的宗旨在於： 1. 促進新市鎮文化教育的發展 2. 探究及發表新市鎮文化教育發展狀況資料 3. 開辦非牟利教育機構，例如中學、小學及幼稚園 4. 表達對本港教育及文化事務的意見及建議 5. 出版文化教育有關刊物及報告 6. 購置或租賃地方以舉辦本會上述活動
