About the organisation
資優教育基金(Gifted Education Foundation, GEF) 於一九九四年由已故鄔維庸醫生倡導創辦，成員包括原香港中文大學校長兼諾貝爾得獎者高錕教授，以及一些高級政府官員 如Sir David Akers-Jones ,KBE, CMG, JP，宗旨是推動本港資優教育，並於一九九五年與時教育署合作，首次在香港舉辦國際性的資優教育會議(The 11th World Conference on Gifted & Talented Children)，為本港資優教育發展奠定基礎。 二零一零年起，本會舉辦「閃耀之星」計劃，以獎勵在不同範疇有卓越表現的高小學生。計劃至今已超過十年，每年也有約二十名得獎生。除頒發獎學金外，本會亦組織各類活動以擴闊得獎生的視野，包括：到訪香港主要官員府邸、與社會名人對話、參觀活動、戲劇欣賞、電台訪問、參加藝術工作坊、STEM活動等。
