About the organisation
A Hong Kong based NGO providing homemade vegetarian meals and necessities such as toiletries and clothing to individuals experiencing homelessness as well as individuals living below the poverty line, which include retired elderly, elderly cardboard and scrap collectors and community cleaners. With the help of our diverse team that includes volunteers from various walks of life, we come together not only to provide necessities but to build and create connections with our benefeciaries.
Mission
Our mission is to alleviate the suffering of individuals that are experiencing homelessness in Hong Kong as well as many individuals mostly elderly living below the poverty line by providing them with homemade meal bags that include a lunch box, biscuit, juice and a fruit and with necessities such as clothing and toiletries whenever needed six times a week. Through our efforts, the Hanuman Team, we strive to make a significant impact and continue to create strong connections with our beneficiaries by personally providing items when they require for example shoes when they request, mosquito coils for those residing in affected areas, sanitary napkins each month for the female recipients, clothing when they overuse the clothes they have, blankets, pillows and tents when their belongings get too dirty or drenched in the rain.
