About the organisation
Happy Tree Social Services (“Happy Tree”) is a Hong Kong-registered charitable institution established by a group of professionals from management and medical sectors in 2003. Our objective is to provide medical, educational and social services to the disadvantaged minority in the world. With the sense of responsibility and the compassionate, we own a deep concern to orphans, in particular, HIV/AIDS infected orphans. We aim to help these vulnerable people to sustain a better life and live with hope and dignity. Our service locations include Cambodia, India, China and Hong Kong. We operate several orphanages in Cambodia including children who suffer from AID/HIV+ or mental/physical disabilities. We have also been providing support to the underprivileged by providing education sponsorship, community improvement, medical support & financial relief to the slums at rural areas in Cambodia, India and China. We aim to help these vulnerable people to sustain a better life and live with hope and dignity. We also promote volunteering aboard to Cambodia and India which allows people to make a real difference to help the struggling communities. We hope the youths in Hong Kong are encouraged to establish accurate values and attitudes to life, to grow to be self-reliant and quality people through volunteering aboard and eventually their lives and growth can be changed positively.
