本會創立於1999年1月，一向致力發放“勵志”訊息和造福社群為宗旨； 而「勵絃」的意義則透過絃樂器來演繹勵志歌曲和音樂，關懷輔導和鼓勵有需要之人仕和弱勢社群，還以音樂來培養青少年之個人成長和學習。
