About the organisation
The Hong Kong Bird Watching Society is a non-governmental organization established in 1957 with a vision of “people and birds living in harmony as nature continues to thrive”. The Society became a public charitable organization in 2002, a BirdLife International Partner in 2013, the 38th Partner of EAAFP in 2020, and an IUCN member in 2022.

HKBWS aims to promote the appreciation and protection of birds and their habitats through education, research, habitat management and conservation advocacy.
