
About the organisation
The Hong Kong Bird Watching Society is a non-governmental organization established in 1957 with a vision of “people and birds living in harmony as nature continues to thrive”. The Society became a public charitable organization in 2002, a BirdLife International Partner in 2013, the 38th Partner of EAAFP in 2020, and an IUCN member in 2022. Mission: HKBWS aims to promote the appreciation and protection of birds and their habitats through education, research, habitat management and conservation advocacy.
