About the organisation
The main focus of HKSEDS is breeding and training Seeing Eye Dog in Hong Kong and provide the well-trained Seeing Eye Dog to suitable visually impaired people for free. We provide match training and follow up services to support visually impaired people. We also promote Seeing Eye Dog protection and prevent abandonment and mistreatment of the dogs.
Mission
Hong Kong Seeing Eye Dog Services (HKSEDS) is a non-profit organisation aiming at the promotion of professional Seeing Eye Dog Services in Hong Kong, including the training and breeding of dogs locally. The agency believes that this is the best way to localise the Seeing Eye Dog service and make it self-sustain in the community. To provide trained seeing eye dogs and follow-up services free of charge to suitable visually-impaired applicants is their most important services. Through these services, the atmosphere of social caring is enhanced, and the concept of animal protection is nutured.
