- Li Ka Shing Foundation Announces an immediate HK$30 Million Emergency Relief Fund to Support Fire-Affected Communities in Tai Po Wang Fuk Court Housing Complex
(Hong Kong, 27 November 2025) — Saddened by the profound loss and adversity faced by many, the Li Ka Shing Foundation today announced the launch of an emergency fund of HK$30 million to support registered charities, particularly those serving the Tai Po area, in providing immediate relief as well as longer-term assistance to individuals and families affected by the devastating Tai Po Wang Fuk Court fire that has ravaged so many in our community. Any registered charitable organisations can apply for financial assistance through a dedicated link on the Tsz Shan Monastery website ( www.tszshan.org/lksfrelief ). It has come to our attention that scammers are impersonating the Li Ka Shing Foundation (“Foundation”), its Founder, and/or related parties to conduct fraudulent activities globally. These scams often include: Creating fake social media accounts and websites using the Foundation’s or Founder’s names, images, and content from our official platform to carry out fraud. Sending fraudulent emails claiming to offer monetary grants on behalf of the Foundation or the Founder, and asking you to make payment disguised as “processing fees”, “verification charges”, “taxes”, or “clearance fees” before receiving any promised funds. Posting fake news stories or deceptive investment advertisements using the name of the Foundation or the Founder to promote scam investment or trading schemes.
