About the organisation
旺角街坊會於一九五一年創立，原址位於旺角奶路臣街伊利沙伯女皇二世青年游樂場館內，(即麥花臣室內場館)，早期以興學育少、敬老慈幼、濟助孤寡貧寒、施派棉衣米良食、排難解紛、贈醫施藥、救災恤難、施棺贈殮、以及組織童軍旅、訓練少年德性、辦理縫紉班、培育婦女技能、設立多項職業訓練班，養成青年謀生技能、組織青年幹事會，早期附設夜校、康樂服務中心、診所、職業輔導班，以啟發年青人對服務社會產生興趣，秉承【守望相助，休戚相關、患難相扶、移風易俗】四大信條，致力為街坊服務。
