
About the organisation
The Society for the Aid and Rehabilitation of Drug Abusers (SARDA) is established in 1961, is the largest provider of voluntary drug treatment and rehabilitation services in Hong Kong. SARDA adopts medical psycho-social counselling model, endeavours to provide free and diversified drug treatment and rehabilitation services to all drug abusers on a voluntary basis, regardless of age, gender, race and religion. SARDA comprises four residential drug treatment and rehabilitation centres, four social service centres and five halfway houses, which provide drug rehabilitation service. In addition, SARDA joins hands with Department of Health to provide counselling services in all methadone clinics. SARDA has gained numerous awards and recognition from the society.
Mission statement
To give aid to ,to treat and to take all necessary steps to rehabilitate drug abusers; to cooperate with any other organization in furthering the aims of the Society; to undertake research into the problems of drug abuse; to encourage, participate and support community education in preventing drug abuse.
