- Assistive and Learning Technology Association Limited was established in 2014. It consists of members from different professionals who promote the use of assistive and learning technology. Through different community education, let the public understand assistive and learning technology, and enable the community to make good use of assistive technology (AT) and learning technology (LT) to improve the quality of life. The association officially became a charity Ref. 91/14193 in 2015. Our Goals - Promote the use of Assistive and Learning Technology by society, schools, institutions, families and individuals. - Research and development of applied technology to promote learning and help people with special needs. - Raise public awareness and share knowledge on assisting and learning the latest developments in technology. - Promote cooperation in the development of assistive science and technology related to rehabilitation for the special learning needs of regional peers. - Promote collaboration between academics, schools, non-governmental organizations, medical and rehabilitation institutions and the public on the use of assistive and learning technologies.
- 2022 Foundation, as a non-profit organization, seeks to facilitate the development of a long-term vision of what Hong Kong can accomplish by deepening and widening its knowledge platform. Mission: Recognizing the needs for Hong Kong to re-position itself in the global arena and the importance of developing reliable data and sound knowledge in the decision-making process, the 2022 Foundation will endeavor: 1. to serve as a round table of bringing together experts and leaders from academe, business, government and other sectors from Hong Kong, Mainland China and abroad into active cooperation in the provision of objective and cogent data to decision makers of Hong Kong 2. to foster cooperation in research in order to secure a better understanding of Hong Kong so that decisions can be made based on sound knowledge and reliable data 3. to promote, stimulate and provide complementary funding for relevant studies that have significant interests 4. to gather and collate technical information and to disseminate such information to the public
