Description: Buddhist Lodge of Laity was opened on 1 September 2005. The aim of the Centre is: 'Experience and understand life with both wisdom and faith.' Objectives: - To introduce Buddhist teachings and to promote concepts of practising Buddhist teachings to the community of Hong Kong by adopting a contemporary, knowledgeable, rational, open-minded, simple, non-theistic, non-idol and non-sectarian attitude. It strives to promote the integration of Buddhist teachings into contemporary life. The Centre regularly organises courses on meditation and Buddhism that are open to the public. People of all walks of life are welcome to attend such courses. In addition, the Centre will also invite Buddhist Masters of different schools or Buddhists scholars to give their incisive enlightenment talks on various topics of Buddhist teaching.; Our mission is to strengthen the global finance industry by empowering women to achieve their professional potential at each career stage. We operate under a guiding principle that we call Vision 30/40. It is the goal for women to occupy 30% of senior investment roles and executive committee positions by 2040. Even with our efforts, and those of so many other organizations working towards gender equity, we still have quite a way to go for women to hold even close to the number of investment or executive roles in finance that men currently hold.
