- 隨著香港人口老化，老人口腔健康問題漸受關注，志蓮淨苑在2000年初成功向香港賽馬會慈善信託基金申請資助八百二十萬元，成立香港首間專為長者需要而設的牙科診所，提供優質及價格低廉的牙科診症服務。診所在2000年8月開始服務，它的特色是在設計上減少長者活動的障礙，方便他們接受診治，例如沒有梯級障礙的出入口、扶手、特別購置的牙科治療椅和升降台，方便行動不便的長者上落。診所更聘用有特別訓練的工作人員，向他們提供較充裕的治療時間。為進一歩改善長者口腔的照顧，診所成立自己的資料庫，對長者的口腔問題進行分析，以增加對長者口腔健康的認識。 志蓮牙科診所是政府社會福利署指定牙科診所，為領綜緩人士提供高質素及價錢低廉的全面牙科服務。 牙科診所積極關注長者的牙齒健康及口腔衛生，並採用「社區為本」的服務模式，曾為超過貳仟位長者提供免費檢查，簡單脫牙，補牙及洗牙等治療。同時，牙科診所醫生亦外展到社區中心主講口腔衛生講座及牙齒護理等，目的在加強社區長者對牙齒護理及口腔衛生等知識的預防工作。 •牙科診所 •提供牙齒檢查及治療服務，包括：洗牙、脫牙、補牙及牙托等 •外展服務 •外展到安老院舍、長者日間中心及長者活動中心，提供到户牙齒檢查及簡單治療服務 •健康教育 •教導長者及照顧者口腔護理及牙齒健康的知識和技巧
