Description: George A. Spence Foundation (“GASF”) is a non-profit Charitable organization focused on providing wellness services and promoting peace to disadvantage people within our community. Our beneficiaries include, but not limited to, chronical illness patients, students from low-income families, ethnic minorities, people with special education needs and elderlies. Since inceptions, we sponsored numerous projects, free for participants, including: - Food & Healthcare Hamper for Elderlies; - Physical Exercise & Mental Healing classes for people with special needs; - English classes for new migrant from China to HKSAR; - Living and education expenses for low-income university students in China; - Chinese Medical Mobile Clinic and Medicine for elderlies in Tai O, Tung Chung and Mui Wo; Our mission is to strengthen the global finance industry by empowering women to achieve their professional potential at each career stage. We operate under a guiding principle that we call Vision 30/40. It is the goal for women to occupy 30% of senior investment roles and executive committee positions by 2040. Even with our efforts, and those of so many other organizations working towards gender equity, we still have quite a way to go for women to hold even close to the number of investment or executive roles in finance that men currently hold.
