About
- Description
- Paws United Charity is a non-profit, all-volunteer rescue organization established and registered in Hong Kong. Our mission is to continue to improve the lives of animals in our community by promoting responsible pet ownership, humane treatment of animals and choosing adoption instead of purchase. Paws United Charity provide the following services: Rescue: We rescue animals from various channels, including Government kennels, families who can no longer keep their pets, breeders who no longer want the animals, abandoned animals on the streets and born strays. Rehabilitate: We provide medical treatment for all rescue animals, including costly surgical procedures, vaccinations, as well as de-flea and de-sex procedures. We make sure the animals are placed in foster homes that offer a safe and welcoming environment to rehabilitate them mentally and physically. Re-home: Our end-goal is to successfully find forever homes for all of the animals that we rescue. Our volunteers carefully screen and guide interested parties through the adoption process so that both adopting families and animals can go home happy.
- Our mission is to strengthen the global finance industry by empowering women to achieve their professional potential at each career stage. We operate under a guiding principle that we call Vision 30/40. It is the goal for women to occupy 30% of senior investment roles and executive committee positions by 2040. Even with our efforts, and those of so many other organizations working towards gender equity, we still have quite a way to go for women to hold even close to the number of investment or executive roles in finance that men currently hold.
