Charged Hong Kong (the Hong Kong Electric Vehicle Association) was founded on 25th January 2015, to support and accelerate the adoption of plug-in electric vehicles in Hong Kong. Charged Hong Kong is here to help support and accelerate that process, so that residents of Hong Kong can enjoy the accompanying improvements to air quality and our environment. Our three objectives are: To support and advocate for Air Quality and other improvements to the environment in and around Hong Kong. To promote the adoption of plug-in electric vehicles in Hong Kong. To assist the community of plug-in electric vehicle owners and drivers in Hong Kong, and to represent the views of that community.

Paws United Charity is a non-profit, all-volunteer rescue organization established and registered in Hong Kong. Our mission is to continue to improve the lives of animals in our community by promoting responsible pet ownership, humane treatment of animals and choosing adoption instead of purchase. Paws United Charity provide the following services: Rescue: We rescue animals from various channels, including Government kennels, families who can no longer keep their pets, breeders who no longer want the animals, abandoned animals on the streets and born strays. Rehabilitate: We provide medical treatment for all rescue animals, including costly surgical procedures, vaccinations, as well as de-flea and de-sex procedures. We make sure the animals are placed in foster homes that offer a safe and welcoming environment to rehabilitate them mentally and physically. Re-home: Our end-goal is to successfully find forever homes for all of the animals that we rescue. Our volunteers carefully screen and guide interested parties through the adoption process so that both adopting families and animals can go home happy.

Sai Kung Stray Friends Foundation Limited

Funded by donations from local individuals and local companies, Sai Kung Stray Friends are a Hong Kong volunteer group who rescue abandoned, sick, injured and stray puppies/dogs, and extend the chance to fully recover through medical care, love and short-term sheltering until they find permanent families and homes. We currently have over 200 dogs at our Sai Kung kennel, they are all waiting for their forever homes. One of them could be perfect for you. It is so rewarding to know that a dog could have a better life because of you. Their love and gratitude will transform your life and teach you lessons about life that you never even expected. Our meals-on-wheels program delivers food and clean water to street dogs 365 days a year. We have a small group of volunteers who personally deliver food and water to the street dogs and make sure they have shelter and warmth. Group also desex, microchip and rabies vaccinate the dogs, who live happily in harmony with the local villages. We have earned a long-standing reputation in the local community. The charity has been running for over a decade under the leadership of our Chairman Narelle Pamuk and our kennel manager Kathy, assisted by a team of regular volunteers. Your support, whether be a donor, a sponsor, a kennel volunteer, a volunteer helping on the street selling soft toys, group fundraising or donating gifts to sell, it allows us to do what we do best: “helping dogs to have a better life”. The Environmental Campaign Committee (ECC) has been set up since 1990 to promote public awareness of environmental issues and encourage the public to contribute actively towards a better environment. Committee members are appointed by the Chief Executive. Representatives of relevant government departments, including the Environmental Protection Department, also sit on the Committee. Since its establishment, the ECC has planned and organized many environmental events and activities for different sectors of the community.

Food Commons Foundation is a tax-exempt charity dedicated to tackling the problem of excessive leftover food and its social, environmental, and economic consequences. Our primary goal is to collect edible surplus food from sources such as markets and retailers, reducing landfill pressure and environmental pollution while redistributing nutritious food to those in need. We also explore innovative food up-cycling solutions to maximize the value of rescued food. By linking social welfare and environmental organizations, government, and the business sector, the Foundation strives to reduce waste, support communities, and create green job opportunities. We remain committed to a community-oriented approach, encouraging broad participation beyond a single funding source, and aim to extend food recovery efforts to all 18 districts of Hong Kong. Food Commons is the community-based resource network under the Foundation, fostering long-term collaboration among action groups, businesses, government, and public organizations to manage surplus food effectively. Since its beginnings as the Food Sharing Project in 2009, Food Commons has pioneered food recovery initiatives that combine environmental protection with community mutual aid. Operating as Food Commons Foundation Limited since 2015, we have rescued more than 11,373 metric tons of edible food, benefiting over 10.07 million people. Every HK$1 donation generates HK$6.5 worth of fresh food, supporting hundreds of grassroots families and elderly each week. With shifting government policies and the conclusion of our market recovery project, continued community support is critical to sustain this safety net and prevent fresh food from being discarded.

Our mission is to protect the environment and save millions of lives by leading a global hygiene revolution to distribute recycled bars of soap to needy children and families in Asia and around the world. Clean the World Asia also eliminated needless waste from landfills and incineration plants which contaminate our precious land.
