The Society for the Aid and Rehabilitation of Drug Abusers (SARDA) is established in 1961, is the largest provider of voluntary drug treatment and rehabilitation services in Hong Kong. SARDA adopts medical psycho-social counselling model, endeavours to provide free and diversified drug treatment and rehabilitation services to all drug abusers on a voluntary basis, regardless of age, gender, race and religion. SARDA comprises four residential drug treatment and rehabilitation centres, four social service centres and five halfway houses, which provide drug rehabilitation service. In addition, SARDA joins hands with Department of Health to provide counselling services in all methadone clinics. SARDA has gained numerous awards and recognition from the society.

Budlet Folk Dance Club

In the 60’s, there was a folk dance group under the Chinese Students Weekly in Hong Kong. The members gathered every week to enjoy dancing. In 1967, the Weekly ended and the folk dance group had to be dismissed. Those group members, who were young students and already tied with deep friendship, then organized themselves and inaugurated the Budlet Folk Dance Club (the Club) on 10 September 1967. Later in December 1973, the Club was registered as a non-profit making organization, and further as a charity organization on 9 April 1990 in Hong Kong. Objective To study and promote folk dance; to provide non-profit making dance activities to the general public.

We are a group of Christians who live & work in Toronto and in Hong Kong. We have had some close encounters with the sufferings and darkness associate with the adversities of growing old while not knowing the grace of God through the salvation of Jesus Christ. Through our professional works or personal lives (as chaplains, pastors, geriatric nurses, social workers in health care, seminary students, occupational therapists, personal support workers for live-alone seniors, caregivers for aging parents and grandparents, friends of aging friends with terminal illness & various mental illnesses), we grief the lostness of our aging friends of different part of the globe who suffer in silence & alone.
