Care the Visually Impaired
HealthWe are a group of visually impaired people and volunteers, aspiring to serve the visually impaired living in Hong Kong Island. Therefore, we organized a service organization called "Hong Kong Visually Impaired Association" to provide services to our members according to their personal needs. The Association was formally established on March 1, 1998 and registered as a non-profit self-help organization with the Societies Office of the Licensing Branch of the Hong Kong Police Force. In 2002, it enjoyed the exemption certificate under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance (tax exemption certificate) and was exempted from tax. The Association is managed by an Executive Committee and its main funding comes from the non-recurrent grant from the Social Welfare Department, various funds, donations from all walks of life and fundraising activities. Committee members' titles include: President, Vice President, Financial Secretary, Executive Secretary, Recreation member.., etc., a total of five to seven people.
