The Fong Shu Fook Tong Foundation was established by Dr. Henry Fong Yun Wah, The late Chairman of Hip Shing Hong (Holdings) Company Limited, and his late father, Mr. Fong Shu Chuen in 1977. The Fong’s Family Foundation was founded in November 1986. Both foundations are under the chairmanship of Mr. David Fong Man Hung. It is paramount to give back to society and those in need. Every year, the Fong Shu Fook Tong Foundation and Fong’s Family Foundation donate approximately 10% – 15% of the profits they make from the family business to support charitable causes across Hong Kong and Mainland China. With an aim to give back to society and make it a better place, the donations are used mainly in education, elderly and children caring services, medical services, poverty alleviation and other charitable causes.

The objective of this Society is to relieve poverty of the low income families and elderly through charitable activities and donations. DTFU stands for Dignity Trust & Friendship Union. We involve around 150 members mostly based in Hong Kong and our fellows extend to Shanghai, Taiwan and beyond Asia to the USA. Established in Hong Kong since 2008; we were initially set up as a non-profitable society serving the purpose to bond friendships and networking among young elites and entrepreneur. Recognizing the strength and capacity of this providential group while observing the need for support from our community, DTFU decided to give back and encourages social responsibility among our members. Our mission is to Enjoy and Donate. Our vision is to establish DTFU as the social group in Hong Kong providing the support for pilot projects and promote participation in charity work. Being aware of the fact that the future prosperity, the well-being of the country and its people are dependent on the advancement of educational level of the citizens, Dragon Culture Charity Fund Limited is set up. Having spent nearly ten years on the collection with more than a million Hong Kong dollars put into the research, design and production of this book, all gross proceeds from the sales of Horses for Eternity will go to the Fund for the development of basic education in deprived rural areas in Mainland China as well as to support many other needy ones in our society.
