We are very proud of the programmes we present in our endeavour to achieve this aim. FAMA is committed to the development of young singers in Hong Kong and to that end we are proud to support various individuals through our vocal scholarship programme.

Access HK was set up in 2001 by a group of Hong Kong students at leading U.K. and U.S. universities who felt strongly about equal opportunities and were dedicated to improving the education of children in Hong Kong. Vision: Access HK has organized a number of projects to help underprivileged children in Hong Kong. Every summer, Access HK’s volunteers, mostly students studying at overseas universities, return to Hong Kong to give a free summer school to children in need. Access HK also recruits young professionals to run a free weekend tuition program known as “Teach an Hour” and a careers program known as “A Day in the Life of…”, during which children are given the opportunity to shadow someone in a career in which he or she is interested. Access HK works with primary schools situated in some of the most economically deprived districts in Hong Kong, and strive to boost students’ learning interest and English language skills. To date, Access HK served over 1,000 children in need.

Founded in 2015, the Child and Adolescent Financial Education Fund ("CAFEF") is a charity established to advocate for child and adolescent financial education in Hong Kong. Developed our flagship '4S Program' in the collaboration with the Education University of Hong Kong to provide a scientific and research-based solution to replenish the existing gap in financial education amongst primary and secondary school curricula. Our Vision We believe that cultivating students' financial skills is important for their future individual development as well as the society. Through a research-based financial programme "4S programme", we integrate the concepts and thinking of economics, financial management and moral education, and hope to help children and adolescents in developing the correct concept of money and financial attitude afterwards. Each year school children, businesses and the local community come together to donate gift boxes filled with essential, fun, and active items, to give to a child that would not normally receive a gift over the festive period. We work in collaboration with local, and a small number of overseas charities, to support the children and families who receive the boxes. None of what we do would be possible without the support of our volunteers, schools and sponsors, who support us both financially and in kind. In 2023 we delivered over 41,232 boxes to children, donated through 120 schools, 41 corporates and hundreds of individual volunteers.

China Oxford Scholarship Fund

The objective of the China Oxford Scholarship Fund is to award scholarships to some of the most talented graduates each year of universities in the People's Republic of China and in Hong Kong to enable them to study at the University of Oxford in England in order for them to realise their full potential and to return home to contribute in leadership positions to the development of their homeland. Currently, the trustees limit the granting of scholarships to those students engaged in postgraduate studies at the University of Oxford. In support of this objective, the Fund is engaged in fund-raising, investment, educational and career advice and pastoral care and mentoring of the scholars both during and after their time at the University of Oxford. These activities are carried out in conjunction with those of the China Oxford Scholarship Fund, the Fund's sister charity, being a charity registered in the United Kingdom. The Awards Committee uses the following criteria in selecting the students to be granted scholarships: • Possessing a confirmed place at Oxford; • Being from an under-privileged family; • Speaking sufficiently good English to benefit from the experience of being at the University of Oxford; • Having an all-round personality, not solely academic; • Showing clear signs of leadership capability in any field; • Being committed to returning home and contributing to the future development of their homeland. The Awards Committee interviews a short list of applicants each year and recommends candidates for the trustees’ decision. The Fund is constituted under a Deed of Declaration of Trust dated 9 March 1992, as varied by Deeds of Variation dated 30 November 2006 and 7 March 2007. The overall day to day management of the Fund is carried out by the seven trustees who are also responsible for significant decisions of a long term operational nature. The trustees are assisted in the day to day management of the Fund by two committees: the Finance Committee and the Awards Committee. The members of these committees are either trustees or friends of the Fund who provide their time and expertise to the Fund on an honorary basis. The trustees are also assisted by one part time employee. The Fund is a non profit organisation registered with the Inland Revenue Department of the Government of the Special Administrative Region of Hong Kong (#91-03682). As such, it is exempt from taxation on its charitable activities in Hong Kong.
