Lifeline Express Hong Kong Foundation

Lifeline Express Hong Kong Foundation is a registered charitable organization (IRD File No: 91/4895) established in 1997 in Hong Kong, to raise funds to support the operation of the Lifeline Express. Lifeline Express is a well-equipped hospital eye-train, aiming to provide free operations for the underprivileged cataract patients in Mainland China. This purpose-built four compartments eye-train consists of an Examination Room, two Operating Theatres, a Patient Ward, a Multi-function Conference Room and a Living Quarter for medical team. In July 1, 1997, the first hospital eye-train embarked on its mission of light to Fuyang City, Auhui Province, China. In 1999, 2002 and 2009 the second, third and fourth hospital eye-trains come into service.

“Life is Colourful” (LIS) is a registered charity organisation in Hong Kong. With a belief of social equality, we have a vision that everyone can have a joyful and meaningful life. Life should be colourful. By organising a wide range of activities, including music and arts, sports, environmental and other learning events, we aim at helping those underprivileged communities explore their own potential, strengthen their own confidence so that they can live a meaningful life too. Furthermore, by working with different organisations, we expect both the social care and inclusion can be improved in Hong Kong.

We combine diverse professional knowledge and innovative ideas to explore four major topics: "Life Education, Aging Planning, Care for the Ill, and Arrangements After Death." Through resource sharing and grassroots approaches, we aim to increase public awareness and community connections, change entrenched beliefs, and empower the public to have choices and decision-making power regarding their arrangements for life, aging, illness, and death.

We aim at running non-profit schools and providing high quality education. The EmbraceLife Foundation Ltd. was founded by a group of like-minded friends who come from different sectors, age groups, living environments and occupations, sharing the same vision and mission to achieve the same goal, to help young people find hope that they may understand the value of life, and enhance the resilience of young people when facing adversities. Our Mission We recognize the importance of meeting the basic needs of young people since life itself is inseparable from the need to be clothed, to have food, to be sheltered, and to have means of transportation. We aim to assist young people in meeting their basic needs by providing to them help and supplies when they need them the most. We will also offer various vocational trainings to the young ones so that they will have the necessary tools and skills to fend for themselves, which in turn serve as important building blocks for their future development. We endeavor to help young people to build resilience and develop a dignified character while coaching them in an array of practical skills so that they will be equipped to deal with life and interact with those around them. We strive to be there each step of the way to walk with young people in their lifelong journey. Our long-term goal is to encourage young people to learn and practice the five core values of Chinese culture: benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom and fidelity, collectively known as the Five Virtues of Life.
