The British Council is the UK’s international organisation for cultural relations and educational opportunities. We have been in Hong Kong since 1948.

The Baiwan Charity aims to improve the quality of education for children in Baiwan. With the support of Island School and other interested parties, Baiwan Charity has been upgrading the facilities for schools in Baiwan since 1998. Baiwan Charity provides scholarships and other resources for the children there. Baiwan Charity supports needy students from other rural areas of Qingyuan to continue secondary and post-secondary education.
