About the organisation
The Global Chinese Breast Cancer Organizations Alliance was founded in 2006 by a group of breast cancer survivors and registered as a not-for-profit charitable organization in 2016. We are dedicated to support breast cancer patients, promote breast health education, advocating for prevention and treatment of breast cancer. We are a platform that connect all Chinese Breast Cancer groups worldwide to mitigate the threat of breast cancer on Chinese women. “Pink Angel Service” is a unique and FREE OF CHARGE service launched by GCBC in 2017, through which breast cancer survivors offer supports to newly diagnosed patients during treatment, offering companionship, telephone hot line and sharing their experiences to relieve their anxiety and stress. The Service has received recognition and was awarded “The Social Capital Builder logo” by the Hong Kong Labour and Welfare Bureau for multiple consecutive years.
Mission
To serve all Chinese breast cancer patients; to advocate for breast cancer prevention and treatment of breast cancer; to promote breast health education; to support breast cancer patients; to collaborate with other medical and cancer organizations to engage in breast cancer research and prevention efforts; to serve as a platform that connect all Chinese Breast Cancer groups worldwide to mitigate the threat of breast cancer on Chinese women, to encourage and promote the establishment of new patient organizations.
