- 香港潮陽同鄉會成立於1946年3月，時值抗戰勝利後，全國復員，旅港同鄉監於我邑兵燹之後，元氣大為損耗，加以天災頻仍，民生凋敝，百廢待舉，為拯縣民於水火之中，及扶持地方建設，經我旅港僑領馬澤民、蕭眉珊等之倡導，成立同鄉組織，從事救鄉工作。 香港潮陽同鄉會為適應形勢的變化，三易會名，由旅港潮陽協進會-旅港潮陽同鄉會，1992年為恰切體現我旅港同鄉以香港繁榮為己任的主人翁姿態，改會名為香港潮陽同鄉會沿用至今。 同鄉會宗旨﹕敦睦鄉誼，贊助香港慈善事業，提倡及發展教育。是香港政府認可的公共慈善機構之一。歷屆董事會均為社會服務、興學育才，發放同鄉學子獎學金及對家鄉建設慷慨捐輸等，卓有建樹，深得政府器重，社會推崇。
