It's' purpose is to assist the youth and children living in impoverished and remote regions of China gained access to comprehensive and quality education. It was initiated by a group of compassionate and charitable overseas Chinese in Toronto Canada. It started out by establishing scholarships and grants in Guangdon and various provinces to assist university and senior high students.
