The Hong Kong Evangelical Church is a Christian church that began its gospel work in Hong Kong in 1954 and has since established 21 congregations across the city. In addition to actively spreading the gospel and establishing churches, the Hong Kong Evangelical Church also expresses Christ's love and care for people through social services. Since the 1950s, the church has successively operated schools, study rooms, elderly centers, self-financed integrated family centers, and community centers to serve those in need within the community. To strengthen its focus on social services and gain broader public recognition, the Hong Kong Evangelical Church officially established a non-profit charitable organization, "Hong Kong Evangelical Church Social Service Limited," on February 28, 1995, with recognition from the Companies Registry and legal entity status to fully support the development of various social services.
